Cameras:
Besides the cameras and lenses below, We use our Cellphones for a lot of our images. Excellent quality, and always right at hand. Currently Craig has a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and Andrea has an iPhone 16 ProMax
Crop sensor creates effective 1.5x magnification – great for wildlife. Fully weather sealed for tough environments
18-140 Do just about everything lens. Came with the D7500.
Sigma 10-20mm extreme wide angle. 15-30mm equivalent on an APS-C camera – big open spaces
35mm 1.8. equivalent to a 53 mm on APS-C or Nifty Fifty. Street photos and portraits with beautiful blurry backgrounds.
GoPro 12 Black. Legendary durability, 4k video and decent stills.
We just got a waterproof dome housing for this, look for new video soon !
24-1400mm equivalent. Sometimes the only camera we take, or as a backup to the DSLR
Bags and Packs
Seems you can never have enough, or maybe it’s a bit of an addition for us. Either way, they’re essential travel gear.
First up is the backpacks. DSLR pack from Vanguard, been halfway around the world and back, highly recommend this one. Really great organization, comfortable and durable. We also just got a North Face Surge pack, works great for beach vacations when the DSLR stays home and we travel with the superzooms etc. Also very comfortable and seems very durable.
